What is gel coat?
Gelcoat is designed to provide a protective layer for synthetic stone, fiberglass and other composite materials to improve product durability, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other properties.The gelcoat resin is divided into natural gelcoat and colored gelcoat, sprayed with a thickness of about 0.3mm and then polished to give the product a bright and beautiful appearance.
Artificial marble
Artificial marble is made by using natural marble or granite gravel as the filling material, with cement, gypsum, and unsaturated polyester resin as the adhesive, and then going through a process of mixing, molding, grinding, and polishing.
Fiberglass
Fiberglass is also known as Fiber Reinforced Plastics (FRP). Fiberglass is a kind of composite material with glass fiber and its products (glass cloth, tape, felt, yarn, etc.) as reinforcement material and synthetic resin as matrix material. Due to the use of different resin varieties, there will be three different types of FRP. They are polyester fiberglass (unsaturated polyester resin material reinforced with glass fiber), epoxy fiberglass (epoxy resin material reinforced with glass fiber), phenolic fiberglass.
Polishing scheme
Step 1: After #800-1000 sanding, use a cloth wheel with our special white wax to collect the sand grains out of the light, or use our special coarse white liquid polishing with the cloth wheel.
Step 2: After #1500 sanding or first process, finish with our special white liquid polishing on a wool plate, or with our special yellow wax on a wool cloth wheel.
Step 3: After #2000 sanding or the second process, fine-tune with our special fine-polishing slurry on a wool plate.
